What is terry fabric? What is the difference between knitted and woven towels?
Cotton terry fabric is the terry fabric we see, but it is a terry fabric made of cotton. The feel of the terry fabric is relatively loose, the texture is relatively thick, and its water absorption and warmth retention are relatively good.
Knitted fabrics and woven fabrics are different in weaving. They have their own characteristics in terms of processing technology, fabric structure, fabric characteristics and finished product use. Their composition in the fabric tissue is not the same.
Knitted fabric: a fabric formed by sequentially bending yarns into coils, and the coils are intertwined with each other, and the process of forming coils from yarns is carried out horizontally or vertically. This is a warp knitted fabric.
Woven fabric: It is made of two or more than two groups of mutually perpendicular yarns interwoven at 90 degrees called warp and weft. The longitudinal yarn is the warp yarn, and the horizontal yarn is the weft yarn.
We also differentiate according to the fabric tissue unit
Knitted fabrics: loops are the smallest basic unit of knitted fabrics, and loops are composed of loop stems and extension lines presenting curves.
Woven fabric: Every intersection between warp and weft is a weaving point, which is the smallest basic unit of woven fabric.
When we choose towels, whether it is knitted towels or woven towels, this is why we often divide fabrics into two categories. Both knitted towels and woven towels have their own advantages.
