Fake wool fabric is made of synthetic fibers like polyester or rayon, while wool is naturally-occurring and made of the fibers of sheep's body or yak. Fake wool fabric is usually much cheaper to produce and usually comes in many different colors and styles, but it lacks the characteristic warm touch and soft feel of natural wool fabric. Its texture also varies greatly and is usually much rougher and less comfortable than wool fabric. Also, fake wool fabric tends to pill and lose its shape with time and wear.

On the other hand, traditional wool fabric is expensive to produce, but it's also very durable, warm, and soft. It's able to stand up to wear and tear without fraying, shrinking, or losing its shape. In addition, wool is also breathable and helps to regulate the body temperature, making it an ideal choice for winter and cold weather clothing. Furthermore, wool fabric is naturally fire-resistant and more environmentally friendly than fake wool fabric.
