There are two kinds of thick twill and fine twill. For denim fabrics, cotton yarns above No. 32 (under 18 inches) are used as warp and weft yarns; for fine twills, cotton yarns below No. 18 (over 32 inches) are used as warp and weft yarns. Twill is available in plain white, bleached and variegated and is often used as a jacket for uniforms, sportswear, sneakers, emery backing and padding. Wide-width bleached twill can be used as a bed sheet, and can also be used as a bed sheet after printing. The original and variegated fine twill fabrics have a bright surface after electro-optical or calendering, and can be used as umbrella surfaces and clothing clips.
