Mohair (English Mohair; Turkish Mukhyar) refers to the coat of Angora goats, also known as Angora goat hair. Named after the Turkish word for "best wool", it is one of the world's leading animal textile fibers on the market. Mohair fibers are stiff, less pilling and easier to care for than other wool fibres.

All fibers come in different shapes and textures, and mohair is no exception. Like cashmere, the finer the fibers of mohair, the softer it is. Adult Angora goats have an upper age limit. Generally speaking, 8 years old before shearing can be called high-quality mohair. The fiber fineness is about 40um and the length is about 200mm.
