Why are most home textiles made of twill, and plain weave is almost impossible to buy?
Most of the home textile fabrics are twill weave, and there are very few plain weave fabrics. In fact, this is partly due to capital operations and partly driven by market demand.
More than 10 years ago, the four-piece suit made of plain 11090 40-count plain colored cloth or printed cloth was quite popular. Later, after the twill weave 133*72 was introduced into wide-width fabrics, the thickness of the twill weave is relatively thinner under the same yarn count density. Thicker, a little firmer, and it feels like it replaced the plain weave that was all the rage overnight.
Now there are also some sporadic manufacturers making plain weave, and the shrinkage rate of plain weave is slightly higher. I remember that the 30-count 78*65 plain weave fabric in the past is relatively high in cost performance, but the shrinkage rate is also high.
The times are advancing, and the products are constantly being upgraded. Now the long-staple cotton fabric has almost replaced all the advantages of the previous plain weave. Gradually, the home textile plain weave will slowly disappear in the cloth sea.
